Kyo Sa Nim Talyn Fan started their martial arts training in 2011 with their mother, father, and brother. Though initially a hesitant participant in this family activity, they soon discovered a personal passion for Tang Soo Do and the holistic benefits it provides. As an instructor, they enjoy passing on their experience to empower students of all ages and backgrounds. Currently a third-degree Black Belt in the International Tang Soo Do Federation, Kyo Sa Nim Fan has also held rank in the World Tang Soo Do Association, where they served as an inaugural member of the Hwarang Dan League youth demonstration and leadership team.

Master Michael Fan began his Tang Soo Do training (at the age of eight) in 1979 in Maryland under Grandmaster Chun Sik Kim and Master Arnold Lee. Having trained as a young child (when he was bullied), teenager, young adult, and also as a middle-aged adult, Master Fan understands and appreciates the benefits of martial arts through all stages of life. Currently a 4th Degree Master and direct student of Grandmaster Kim with the International Tang Soo Do Federation, Master Fan has also held rank in the World Tang Soo Do Association and the American Tang Soo Do Association, where he directly trained under founder and Grandmaster Richard Byrne for several years.

Mrs. Baoding Fan initially began her martial arts training in 2011 with her two children. (They started in Taekwondo before transitioning to Tang Soo Do.) At first, her primary purpose for training was not to earn a Black Belt, but to get regular exercise and share a fun family activity. However, the practice of Tang Soo Do would become a vital part of her life, and in 2016, she was proud to test for Black Belt alongside her children. Currently a third-degree Black Belt with the International Tang Soo Do Federation, Mrs. Fan has also held rank in the World Tang Soo Do Association.
